Queen Day 2023 in Japan

QUEEN DAY 2023 in Japan - Raising Money For The MPT

On Saturday, April 15th, Shinko Music Entertainment will host their annual QUEEN DAY event - an official memorial day in Japan to celebrate Queen landing in the country for the very first time.

Freddie, Brian, Roger and John arrived at Haneda Airport on April 17th, 1975. The date has become an incredibly important day for Japanese Queen fans.

This year, QUEEN DAY will be held at that TIAT SKY HALL at the very same airport and will be a chance for Queen fans from all over Japan to get together.

The event will consist of two parts - A 'Talks Session' and a live performance part.

Firstly, two guests, Masafumi Kato (who worked on promoting Queen’s first album) and Kaoruko Togo (ex-MUSIC LIFE magazine editor-in-chief) will talk about how Queen rose up and established their presence among Japanese music fans.

This will be followed up by a live performance by Japanese rock artist Rolly, who will be paying homage to Queen.

Doors open at 3pm, and the event starts at 4pm.

Donations will be collected on the day and made to the Mercury Phoenix Trust - www.mercuryphoenixtrust.com
